Montigami: A new kind of Italian restaurant is coming to Grenoble's Presqu'île

Grenoble's Presqu'île is set to welcome a new establishment with the opening of Montigami, a modern Italian restaurant located on the ground floor of the People Connect building, Place Nelson Mandela.

The venue will offer generous Italian cuisine in a friendly, convivial setting, featuring a self-service beer bar and an after-work area opening onto a terrace. This new dining spot complements the offerings of a rapidly developing district.

Pizza, pasta, and an unmissable red oven

Montigami will feature an open kitchen, with an imposing red pizza oven at its center, visible from every table. Diners can settle in, watch the pizzas spin, and smell the dough browning. It sets the mood.

The menu promises to be generous and accessible: pizzas, fresh pasta, antipasti, and traditional dishes, served for lunch and dinner. It's a contemporary take on Italian cuisine, in an open space designed to welcome both lunch and evening diners.

A self-service bar

The bar is Montigami's other signature feature. A wall of self-service beer taps structures the space and immediately catches the eye. The concept: a card credited at the counter, and everyone serves themselves directly, from a simple tasting glass to a full pint.

A simple and interactive system that transforms the bar experience and naturally creates a lively atmosphere, especially at the end of the day. Cocktails, wines, and soft drinks complete the offering for all occasions.

Terrace, petanque, and Thursday after-work events

Montigami features an outdoor terrace overlooking Place Nelson Mandela, with a petanque court.

Sunny lunch breaks, after-work drinks with colleagues, summer evenings: the space adapts to any mood or occasion. A weekly after-work event will be offered from opening, every Thursday evening. The terrace can also be privatized for custom events: farewell parties, birthdays, or corporate after-work gatherings.

A name, a story

Montigami is a portmanteau that combines "Monti" for mountain, referencing the mountain ranges surrounding Grenoble—Chartreuse, Vercors, Belledonne—and "gami," inspired by origami, as a nod to creativity and the world of play.
